The Lacellgolf 2005 'Open' Golf Competition Guide is a full colour 52 page electronic booklet that is available on compact disc - for use on a home computer. It is designed to provide all levels of Golfers with useful contact, date, cost and handicap information covering a wide variety of ‘Open’ Golf competitions being held at clubs throughout England during 2005. In total it lists over 400 events being played at over 75 golf courses. The events include Men’s, Ladies, Mixed, Pro-Am, Am-Am, Juniors, Seniors, Low Handicap, Charity / Invitational and Alternative competitions.

For your convenience and easy reference, the guide divides the country into 7 different regions that fall within 3 main areas (North, Central and South). Within each region the events are listed in date order and the type of event is identified by a conveniently coded coloured symbol. Where available, website addresses for each Golf Club hosting an event are also included, to enable quick and easy access to club details. Additionally, maps are also incorporated to illustrate the approximate location of a host course and provide an ideal way to identify the most local events.

With information being provided in this manner, a golfer can easily plan his/her annual golfing calendar. He/she can also gain a feel for what events are being held in other regions of the country and so has the option to coincide playing in a competition whilst away visiting friends, on business or even on holiday.

Useful information on a variety of Golfing topics is also included, such as tips on etiquette and rules, advice on handicap obligations, familiar competition formats and a convenient handicap allowance table.  The guide therefore provides an excellent golfing accessory for beginners and a handy reminder for the more experienced amateur.

For those ‘light-hearted’ casual rounds the user guide also provides rules on a selection of alternative games - some of which have been devised and designed by Lacellgolf. These games can be played for fun amongst small groups or otherwise played competitively at a Golfing society function. Whatever the event, we hope you enjoy the experience of playing these different formats!

One of our key objectives is to help provide development opportunities for Junior Golfers - helping them to enhance their skills and talents to enable them to achieve their optimum ability.
